This plugin allows users to block requests coming from a given geolocation.

A geolocation can be a country or a group of countries.

Advanced details

On every incoming HTTP request, this plugin lookups the client IP address based on:

  • HTTP headers (x-forwarded-for, x-client-ip, x-real-ip, x-forwarded, x-cluster-client-ip, forwarded-for, forwarded, via).
  • remote connection IP address

If the IP address is part of the blacklisted geolocations, then the incoming HTTP request is blocked.
